    专业介绍:
    “传媒”即传播媒介(指广播、电视、报刊、网络、电影等)。
     
    近几年,随着留学业的不断发展,越来越多的人开始有机会接触到传媒这门学科。尽管传媒专业比较强调理论学习,但是越来越多的大学也在强调学生在传媒业中的实习,以及提供足够的机会使学生了解最新的多媒体技术在传媒业中的应用。
     
    同时传媒专业还需要学生学习语言及文学、信息传递及社会组织机构、以及人与人之间的或人与组织之间的行为科学方面的专业知识。

    分支方向解析:
    大众传媒,是传媒类专业之一,由于大众传播学专业学校分布广泛而且名校众多,因而备受学生青睐。大众传媒是传媒学院中研究媒体的综合性学科,需要学习较全面的理论课程,会涉及到大众传播/媒体研究、跨文化交流、全球媒体传播、新旧媒体技术、社会和政治应用以及言语交际和修辞等多个分支方向的学习。传播学分支包括:大众传播学、组织传播学、国际与跨文化传播、媒体和公共关系等。

    电影/电视学/电视制作/广播制作,这个方向有理论性和实践性课程的选择。理论性的课程,主要就是:“Film Studies”, “Film and Television: theory and culture”, “Screen and Film Studies”“Television Studies”, “Film and Television Studies”, “Television and Screen Studies”,课程内容主要就是电视历史;电视节目的排期要求等。实践方向: “MA Filmmaking” “MA Feature Film Screenwriting” “BA Radio Production”。
     
    新闻学专业是集中研究新闻资讯的收集、处理和传递理论与实践的专业,培养目标是使学生成为职业的新闻工作者、新闻编辑和新闻管理者。一般内容包括新闻编辑与写作、报道、新闻摄影、版面及图形设计、新闻法和政策、行业标准与道德、研究方法和新闻史与批判学等。
     
    媒体管理(或传媒经济)培养传媒领域管理者。专业结合传媒组织管理实践,引入专业的管理学,论述传媒组织运作流程中的生产、销售、广告、人力资源、财务、战略等各个环节,既是传媒管理理论的系统梳理,也是传媒综合评判;既为研究者提供认识论,也为学习者提供决策依据。
     
    广告学专业培养具备广告学理论与技能、宽广的科学文化知识,能在新闻媒介广告部门、广告公司、市场调查及信息咨询行业以及企事业单位从事广告经营管理、广告策划创意和设计制作、市场营销以及市场调查分析工作的广告学的高级专门人才。广告专业为学生提供了一个全面的广告行业在广告实践和课程管理、数字广告和品牌、营销传播、广告和公共关系、广告和传媒研究以及写作和视觉传媒。
